Sarah Raymer, Director of Education and Training Services
Sarah Raymer comes from a background rich in artistic culture that has strengthened her ability to creatively problem solve in a fast paced changing environment like the solar industry. Sarah grew up strong in small Southern towns of Mississippi and west Florida. She graduated with high honors from Pensacola Community College and then, on a full scholarship won in an art competition, progressed further to gain her BFA degree from University of West Florida, Magna Cum Laude.
In 2004, Sarah moved to Austin, TX, engrained herself in the artistic community, and started pursuing studies in sustainability and renewable energy. She now maintains an art studio at PUMP Project Art Complex, is a board member of the local solar advocacy group Solar Austin, consults for a local solar installation company Greenbelt Solar, and serves as Director of Education and Training Services with SolPowerPeople.
Sarah loves trail running, reading, sustainable building, and exploring cooking and eating exotic foods from far away lands.
As Director of Education and Training Services at SolPowerPeople, Sarah helps to write curriculum, deliver training, and manages administrative tasks for the company as it grows. Sarah, AKA Ms. MOOC, also manages the #SolarMOOC, hosting lectures on Thursdays at 12PM Central.
